Having taught Skills for Life in an FE college for four years, my current research focuses on the relationship between policy, practice and research in Skills for Life in England. One current project revisits former literacy students to explore the relationship between adults’ aims at the outset of a literacy programme and their reflections on their learning experiences. Another ongoing project involves the analysis of literacy tutors' reflections on their classes, recorded each week in blogs.
