Garfield - I'd be delighted to learn of an OSS range of products that could let me do the same thing.... really I would.

Point(s) taken, David. I'll take them seriously, despite learning that you used a microsoft sequence of products to make the video. Shame on you.

David - I'm a "Libertarian Marxist" not an anarchist!

Anyway "Ego Te Absolvo"

Dissemination Ho! We are working closely with academics not only in our uni and partner colleges but nation wide and hoping to get valuable feedback as the pilot phase of the project continues. Fingers crossed anyway!

"Anarchist Marxist Atheist" Mark Stiles as the head of a world religion just makes me laugh hugely. What you would need for that is some kind of celebrity endorsement - I'll approach Tom Cruise's people through JLT.

Seriously, maybe a staging post before the "world domination" stage is what you are looking for. At the very least, a specific strategy aimed at academics would be a good plan.

OK will put my hand up to "All" as in a list of people too long to mention! But as you say, with All being anyone who is/ will be a learner and is / will be an employee, the Support Point will become a new religion (nice use of Marks picture!) and the world will be ours!

Tony - yeah, that's the long term aspiration. But there are interim steps to getting the eTutor idea to "all" - even within Glamorgan you would start with the people liable to be keen or to advocate the idea (we could both probably name them!) and then refine the way the idea is presented (which from your last comment sounds like a priority!). Have you considered using a film/animation to get the idea across?

Also you should talk to Denise MacIntyre about the idea, just because she is the person that has the most influence in Glamorgan...

Hmm... Actually "All" does describe the expected users of my eTutor project outputs/outcomes rather well.
At least in the sense that it is exploring the potential future scenario where learning resources are sourced globally and are accessed through web services.
It's not developing content and it's not developing tools. It's assuming they're all out there (or will be) and it's up to us as learning professionals to exploit them effectively for the benefit of learners.
At the moment we are looking at a mind map of the module learning outcomes, each of which individually generates a dynamic tag cloud of peer rated source materials based on learner preferences. And that's all that sits on Moodle (or whatever networking software we choose to use).
The only definite outcome of the project so far (which after all only started in January) has been the fastest and most comprehensive glazing of the eyes yet of colleagues when presented with the idea ...

*cough*microsoft movie maker*cough**splutter

Made the slides in PowerPoint, exported them as individual images and loaded them into movie maker.

Glad you liked the video.

I think I can hear the birds tweeting.... This video communicates even better than your presentation on the day David, maybe even funnier! I'm sure I never once used the word 'all', alright?
With my 'ooh-I-do-like-making-videos' head on, could you tell us how you did this one please David? Did you play the powerpoint, and record it with your voice over with something like Snapz Pro?
